I conduct interdisciplinary research in the fields of education and health psychology, and have research expertise within survey research, mixed methodologies, and visual and participatory methodologies. I am interested in the ways in which sociocultural theory can be used in educational and community-based settings to enhance psychosocial, sexual, relational, and health-related outcomes for adolescents and young adults. I am currently working on a National Institutes of Health funded cancer prevention project, which aims to enhance health communication strategies around the schools-based human papillomavirus vaccine programme.
