Per Assmo is Professor of Human & Economic Geography at University West, and Extraordinary Professor of Political Studies at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa. He is the University West coordinator of SANORD (Southern Africa Nordic Centre) and the South Africa Sweden Research Forum (SASUF), and Research Team Leader for the Complete Academic Environment of Work Integrated Learning (WIL) at University West. He has extensive research experience from both Sweden and the African continent, with research interests in areas such as sustainable development, migration and integration, internationalisation of higher education and work-integrated learning.
